What's in season right now?

A little bit of history
Parbati lives with her mother and daughter on the western edge of the village, about a 10 minute walk from the village shop. She grows a delicious type of mushroom known locally as 'sitaki'. It has medicinal properties that are beneficial to the treatment of 6-7 diseases, including high blood pressure and diabetes. Parbati's farm is north-facing and gets plenty of sunshine, which is perfect to created a luscious humidity inside the growing sheds. The subtle, earthy flavour of the mushrooms also makes a mouth-watering curry: a little masala, a little cumin, and a few other secrets that only Parbati knows...
